Online Panel Discussion on the Role of Research in Quality Education & Teaching Pedagogy Aligned with NEP 2020 Organized by Dr. Kalam International Foundation.

An online panel discussion on ‘The Role of Research & Teaching Pedagogy’ aligned with NEP 2020 was recently organized by Dr. Kalam International Foundation. The discussion was in response to our beloved Prime Minister’s appeal for, ‘Jai Anusandhan’.

During the event, Mr. Sudhakar Singh, President DKIF, emphasized the importance of creating a synergy between schools, colleges/universities, and industries through research and its applications. He stressed the need for a collaborative effort to ensure the success of the National Education Policy 2020.

Mr. Bhavesh Suryakant, Editor in Chief of Global Education News , said that research should be able to bring out solutions to the problems of society. He urged educational institutions to focus on developing research-based teaching pedagogy to prepare students for real-world challenges.

Ms. Shweta Singh, Founder Vice President DKIF, highlighted that the National Science Congress is being organized to create a research ecosystem in schools, colleges, and industries. The Congress aims to provide a platform for students to showcase their projects through working and live scientific models based on STEAM, along with industry professionals. They will also be able to present their research papers.

Brig. Sanjay Agarwal related the outcome of research to an evergreen old movie, “To Sir, with Love”. He emphasized that research-based teaching pedagogy can have a profound impact on the development of students and society as a whole.

Dr. Manisha Anwekar, a renowned author, and Mr. Ravikant Anwekar, CEO of a reputed company, emphasized the need for bridging the gap between industry and academia. They stressed that it is possible only through research practices adopted by educational institutions.

The panel discussion also included Mr. Daram Muralidhara from Ashoka Women’s Engineering College, Kurnool, Dr. Raghwan from Bangalore, Ms. Ruchika Sukhija, Principal of a reputed school, Ms. Meenakshi Ahlawat, an educationist par excellence, Prof. Dr. Hardeep Singh, a renowned researcher & Vice President-DKIF, Mr. Harpreet Singh Oberoi from Punjab, and Ms. Ruma Mukherjee, Principal from Kolkata.

Ms. Preeti Parashar, Principal MDL School, Delhi NCR, moderated the session with ease and finesse. Mr. Bhavesh Suryakant, Editor-in-Chief of Global Education News, was also present at the panel discussion. He shared his views on research-based teaching pedagogy and pointed out that it will further boost the development of a more skilled workforce.

The panel discussion on ‘The Role of Research & Teaching Pedagogy’ aligned with NEP 2020 was a resounding success. It provided a platform for experts from different fields to discuss and share their views on the importance of research-based teaching pedagogy and its role in quality education.
