DUET EXAM

Delhi University Entrance exam (DUET) is a common admission test conducted by the NTA. The exam is conducted for admission to various UG, PG, MPhil and PhD programmes offered by the Delhi University. DUET is an exam concerned with just admissions in the Delhi University, however if you seek admission in other central universities, apply for CUET.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Age: The candidate must have been born on or after October 1, 2003 (open/EWS/OBC-NCL) or October 1, 2000 (SC, ST, or PwD).

Qualifying Examination: The candidate must have passed the Class XII or equivalent examination with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.

REGISTRATION PROCESS

1.Visit the DUET website and click on the “Apply Online” link.

2.Create an account and log in.

3.Fill out the application form and upload the required documents:

4.Class XII or equivalent examination marksheet.

5.Proof of date of birth.

6.Passport-size photograph.

  • Pay the application fee.

The application fee for DUET is INR 1500 for general category candidates and INR 750 for reserved category candidates. The application fee can be paid online using a credit card, debit card, or net banking.

Pattern Of Exam

Part A: Multiple-choice questions on general knowledge, aptitude, and reasoning.

  • Total number of questions: 50
  • Duration: 45 minutes
  • Each question carries 1 mark and there is a negative marking of 0.25 for each wrong answer.

Part B: Drawing-based questions that assess the candidate’s creativity and problem-solving skills.

  • Total number of questions: 5
  • Duration: 30 minutes
  • There is no negative marking for Part B of the exam.

MARKING SCHEME

  • Creativity: Visual thinking, ideation, and other creativity-related topics.
  • Problem-solving: Problem-solving skills, design thinking, and other problem-solving-related topics.
