The All India School Principals Association hosted an educators conclave cum award function at the BMS College of Commerce and Management in Bangalore on April 15, 2023. The event brought together 155 passionate principals from across the country to discuss the future of education and the role of technology in the field.

Global Education News was the media partner for the event and expressed their pride in seeing such wonderful educators at the meet. The director of the event stated, “It was a dream come true to organise such an event where 150-odd principals were on a single platform. The meeting was basically organised to felicitate my fellow principals who largely go unnoticed for all their hard work. The association gained an impetus when a registration drive was implemented for the same.”

The event began with registration and networking at 9AM, followed by an invocation of blessings and a lamp lighting ceremony attended by chief guests Dr Subramanya Sharma G and Janab Mohammed Abedallah, Minister of State Education, Government of Maldives. The day was filled with a range of activities, including a dance performance by 7-year-old student Raksha Kanwar from Rajasthan, a panel discussion on the usage of Artificial Intelligence in education, and a session on ‘Born to Win’ by Sri Rama Seshu, an expert in the field.

The event also saw the launch of the All India School Principals Association, with a powerpoint presentation read by anchor Ms Jyotsana Gururaj. The founding members of the association, Sri Narasimhan and Sri N K Sinha, were present for the launch, which was followed by a traditional south Indian style felicitation of the chief guest and a speech by Dr Subramanya Sharma.

Other highlights of the day included a presentation on the future of education by Dr Subhashini, representing FutureMinds as its CEO, and a discussion on the importance of research among school children by Dr Rashmi Tyagi representing DKIF. Enrolment to SPA was also done, bringing the day’s activities to a close with high tea and certificates of appreciation for the attendees.

The president of SPA, N K Sinha, stressed the need for enlisting members of PAN India through a membership drive and starting a website for the association. The day-long event left the principals with happy memories and a deeper understanding of the importance of technology in education.
