Eligibility Criteria

  • Age Limit: 21-24 years as of application date (relaxations for reserved categories may apply).
  • Educational Qualifications: Minimum Class 10th pass, plus one of: Class 12th, ITI certificate, polytechnic diploma, or bachelor’s degree (BSc, BA, BCom, BBA, BCA, BPharma) from UGC/AICTE-recognized institutions. Distance/online learners eligible if not full-time.
  • Income & Employment: Family income (parents/spouse) ≤ ₹8 lakh annually; not in full-time job or education; no immediate family member as permanent/regular government/PSU employee.
  • Ineligible Groups: Graduates from elite institutions (IITs, IIMs, IISERs, NLUs); holders of advanced degrees (MBA, PhD, CA, MBBS); current apprentices under NAPS/NATS.

Application Process

The process is fully online, free, and Aadhaar-linked for transparency.

  • Step 1: Visit pminternship.mca.gov.in, click “Youth Registration,” enter mobile number, and verify via OTP.
  • Step 2: Create login credentials and complete e-KYC with Aadhaar/DigiLocker.
  • Step 3: Fill profile: Personal details, education, skills, languages, bank info (Aadhaar-linked for DBT).
  • Step 4: Browse “Internship Opportunities,” filter by sector/location (apply to up to 3-5), answer short questions, and submit.
  • Documents Needed: Aadhaar, educational certificates, photo, bank passbook.
  • Mobile App: Download PMIS app for dashboards and alerts.

Deadlines and Selection Process
