National Conference by Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam International Foundation to Bring Together Young Innovators, ISRO Scientists, and Academic Leaders from Across India

In a landmark tribute to the visionary scientist and former President of India, Bharat Ratna Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, the Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam International Foundation is set to organise “SPACE MISSION–2025”, a three-day national conference and celebration in the national capital from October 13 to 15, 2025.
Commemorating Dr. Kalam’s 94th birth anniversary, the event aims to ignite scientific curiosity, foster innovation, and position India’s youth at the forefront of global space advancement. The conference will witness the participation of leading scientists from Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), academicians, researchers, and national experts from diverse scientific domains.
A National Platform for Future Space Leaders
“SPACE MISSION–2025” is designed as an inclusive academic platform for students from schools and universities across India. The initiative reflects Dr. Kalam’s lifelong mission of empowering young minds and strengthening India’s capabilities in space science and technology.
The conference will unfold over three thematic days:
Day 1 – October 13: Schools’ Conference
Students from Classes VI to XII (all boards) will present innovative projects and participate in space-themed quizzes and hands-on workshops. The key themes include Remote Sensing, Disaster Management, and Sustainable Development—areas closely aligned with India’s evolving space applications.
Day 2 – October 14: Universities’ Conference
Undergraduate and postgraduate students from all streams—including Engineering, Science, Arts, Medical, and Polytechnic—will engage in technical presentations, expert panel discussions, and advanced workshops. Themes will focus on emerging domains such as MEMS, Nanotechnology, Reusable Aerospace Vehicles, and Future Energy Systems.
Each student presenter will deliver a structured 7-minute PowerPoint presentation before a distinguished jury panel comprising scientists and subject experts.
Day 3 – October 15: Grand Celebration & Awards Ceremony
The final day, marking Dr. Kalam’s birth anniversary, will feature interactive sessions with ISRO scientists, a national awards ceremony honouring outstanding student projects, and a cultural tribute celebrating the life and legacy of India’s “Missile Man.”
Encouraging Genuine Participation
The Foundation has emphasised that only students who are genuinely willing and able to travel to New Delhi at their own expense should register. Institutions are required to nominate eligible participants through official Google Forms. The last date for registration is October 3, 2025.
While travel arrangements are to be managed by participants, accommodation support at reasonable and discounted rates will be facilitated upon request during registration.

The conference comes at a time when India’s space sector is witnessing unprecedented growth and global recognition. By connecting young innovators directly with scientists and experts, “SPACE MISSION–2025” seeks to translate inspiration into actionable research and innovation.
