In a groundbreaking collaboration, the BMW India Foundation has partnered with Smile Foundation to launch a transformative STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) education initiative. The program, which began in February 2025, is aimed at over 2,500 students annually in Delhi NCR, focusing on students in grades 6-8 from underprivileged communities. The initiative will be implemented across 25 schools, including both government-aided institutions and community schools.

  1. Permanent STEM Laboratories:
    Five government-aided schools will receive permanent, state-of-the-art STEM labs, equipped with tools such as concept demonstration apparatus, testing devices, digital tools, robotic models, and comprehensive learning kits. These labs will allow students to experience hands-on learning that complements their theoretical education.
  2. ‘STEM on Wheels’ Mobile Labs:
    For smaller community schools, the program will deploy mobile laboratories, also known as ‘STEM on Wheels.’ These mobile labs will bring the same modern equipment to underserved areas, ensuring that every student, regardless of their school’s infrastructure, has the chance to engage with cutting-edge STEM concepts.

Together, these efforts will reach students across Delhi, Noida, Greater Noida, Ghaziabad, Faridabad, and Gurugram. The goal is to provide high-quality STEM education to over 2,500 students annually.
