MyGov and IHM Pusa Join Hands to Launch ‘YUVA PRATIBHA – Culinary Talent Hunt’
MyGov, in collaboration with the Institute of Hotel Management (IHM) Pusa, is launching ‘YUVA PRATIBHA – Culinary Talent Hunt’ on May 12, 2023, to promote India’s rich culinary heritage and raise awareness about the value and significance of traditional knowledge, ingredients, and recipes. This competition aims to discover the lost recipes and promote the culinary talents of young and aspiring chefs and home cooks, with a unique opportunity to showcase their creativity and innovation in cooking with healthy and sustainable ingredients.
As the year 2023 has been declared as the International Year of Millets, the competition will focus on incorporating millets in food preparation, creating awareness about their versatility, and promoting their national outreach. The competition is open for Indian citizens aged 18 to 40 years, with home-cooked dishes, using at least 50% millet ingredients.
The top three winners will receive a cash prize, trophy, and certificate, and the following 12 contestants will receive a cash prize of ₹5,000 each. The top three winners will also be mentored by executive chefs for a month, with a mentorship stipend, if the winner’s city is different from the city of the mentor.
The competition is available in Hindi and English, and participants can submit their entries through the MyGov portal. This competition provides a platform for Indian youth to showcase their culinary talent and promote the contribution of nutri-cereals (millets) for food security and nutrition.
Join the competition and earn recognition on the national level.
