In an important move to strengthen digital security and cyber awareness in higher education, Delhi University (DU) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre (I4C), an initiative under the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA). The partnership seeks to create a robust cyber safety ecosystem within the university, with particular emphasis on protecting women students from growing online threats such as cyber fraud, cyberbullying, identity theft, stalking, phishing, and digital harassment.

The collaboration comes at a time when universities across India are witnessing increased digital engagement through online learning platforms, social media, digital payments, and AI-powered educational tools. As students spend more time online, the risks associated with cybercrime have also grown significantly, making digital literacy and cyber hygiene essential life skills.
