The government of Telangana has announced a major initiative to support civil services aspirants by offering free coaching for the UPSC Civil Services Examination (CSE) 2027.

The program is being implemented through the Telangana Minorities Study Circle & Career Counselling Centre, aimed at empowering students from minority communities with quality preparation resources.

Applications for the scheme will open from May 7, 2026, giving eligible candidates an opportunity to prepare for one of India’s most prestigious exams without financial burden.


Who Can Apply? Eligibility Criteria

The scheme is open to candidates belonging to recognized minority communities, including:

  • Muslim
  • Christian
  • Sikh
  • Jain
  • Buddhist
  • Parsi

Key Eligibility Requirements:

  • Must be a graduate or pursuing a professional degree
  • Annual family income should not exceed ₹5 lakh
  • Must be a resident of Telangana

Additionally:

  • 33.33% seats are reserved for women candidates
  • 5% seats for persons with disabilities

Application Dates and Selection Process

  • Application Start Date: May 7, 2026
  • Last Date to Apply: May 31, 2026

Selection Process:

  • Candidates will be shortlisted through a screening test
  • The test is scheduled for June 14, 2026

Selected candidates will then be enrolled in the coaching program.

The free UPSC coaching program offers comprehensive support, including:

  • Expert faculty and structured classroom training
  • Digital classrooms and learning resources
